Since our last reporting, this is a summary of the events that have taken place regarding our negotiations with Qulliq Energy Corporation: On March 29th, 2011 NEU applied for mediation with the Minister Responsible for the Public Service Act (Minister Tootoo). On April 5th, 2011 NEU received a response from the Minister requesting that NEU would forgo mediation. On April 19th, 2011 NEU sent a letter accepting the Minister invitation to another round of negotiations rather than mediation with conditions. On May 3rd, 2011 NEU received a letter from the Minister discounting NEU's conditions. Since May 6th, I have completed a few media interviews and stipulated that NEU will comply with the request. The next round of negotiations has been set for August 25th - September 2nd, 2011. Since early January 2011, I have been negotiating the Essential Services agreement with QEC. This "project" is still on-going.
