Support your NEU Local by participating in the democratic election of your next Local Executive.
At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) elections will be held for the new Local Executive Members for the Executive positions open for election as follows:
- President
- Vice-President
- Secretary/Treasurer
- Chief Shop Steward
To be elected to a Local Officer position, a Local Member must be a signed Member of the Public Service Alliance of Canada/NEU who is in good standing. They must have both a nominator and a seconder that are also signed Members in good standing. Nominations may be submitted in writing prior to the meeting (email nominations are acceptable) to brian@neu.ca or nominations can be made during the meeting.
Local 002 includes all Members in Gjoa Haven except for: Professional Nurses (Local 3); QEC employees (Local 7); Conservation Officers (Local 11); and Professional Social Workers and Supervisors working for Family Services (Local 16).
