Each Safe Savvy Kids workshop is guided by Pilimmaksarniq to help provide Nunavut youth of all ages with safety skills to face bullying with confidence. Applications are currently open for the communities of:

  • Cambridge Bay
  • Iqaluit
  • Sanirajak 
  • Taloyoak 


Workshop Information

 

Launch Events: Well-known artists Cody Coyote and Gina Burgess will launch each workshop with spectacular music. Participants will enjoy: 

  • Refreshments 
  • Meet-and-Greet 

Mentorship Award Ceremony Workshop Benefits: 

  • After the launch event, each session is held for one-week, Monday - Friday for 45 - 60 minutes. 
  • Safe Savvy Mentors, mostly local Inuit, will deliver customized sessions that address youth harm reduction. 
  • Youth will receive Savvy Success Kits with stationery, literature and SWAG to support their learning. 
  • A special award ceremony will be held to acknowledge each Safe Savvy Kids accomplishments.
