Wednesday, November 11th is Remembrance Day ‘officially’ marked to remember and honor those who fought and currently serve to protect the freedoms that we enjoy on that day as well as the other 364 days of the year. 
 
The NEU asks all citizens of the great Territory of Nunavut to take a moment on Remembrance Day to recall, honor and recognize the unparalleled bravery of Canadian soldiers – past and present. We also ask that we all try to do our part each day to cherish and honor what these incredible individuals fought and fight for.

365 days a year we need to pay respect to those who never returned home and those who did so bearing the physical and psychological scars that afford us the daily freedoms we enjoy as Canadian citizens. 

Traditional Remembrance Day gatherings and ceremonies will be impacted by Covid-related public safety precautions. So (weather and safety permitting) the NEU asks all those that call Nunavut home to step outside at 11:00 am on the 11th to stand in a moment of silence to mark the past, present and future bravery of those that serve our Nation and guard and protect our freedoms.
